Context

Zariya AI is an AI-powered platform that connects blue-collar workers in India with job opportunities, aiming to make hiring more accessible, efficient, and dignified for all.

The Problem

Design the end-to-end UX/UI for a user flow keeping in mind users with varying levels of digital fluency.

This feature allows employers to efficiently review, shortlist, or reject applicants, and directly invite promising candidates using Zariya’s built-in AI call screener.

What I did

A key focus of my work was designing the candidate viewing flow for employers. I crafted this flow to simplify decision-making, minimise bias, and encourage meaningful engagement - all while maintaining a clean, intuitive interface tailored to real-world hiring behaviours in the informal sector.

Research & Analysis : I studied competitor brands to gather insights within the recruitment domain. How were they categorising employees? What was an optimal way to sort candidate UI cards?

Usability Testing: Two rounds of usability testing narrowed down the designs that performed well. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.

Competitor Analysis

UX & UI from competitor platforms brought direction to ideation & wireframing.

Design Challenges

We faced complex navigation hierarchies and the need to harmonize multiple content types. Balancing aesthetics with usability was a top concern throughout the process.

Strategic Solutions

Initial wireframing revealed possibilities for Although initial wireframes explored the flows to of handle a large number of applicants, the team decided to go ahead with a single flow for the MVP.

Results

The prototype received positive stakeholder feedback, and is currently being used in investor meetings to secure funding.
